Best Pet Competition

National Pet Month’s aims are to promote responsible pet ownership, make people aware of the benefits of pets for people and people for pets and to raise awareness of the role, value and contribution to society of working companion animals.

To join in the fun, here at Canterbury we will be holding the Best Pet Competition on Friday 13 April.  We will be asking our licensees to post photos and short stories about their pets and each entry will be judged.  There will be tasty pet treat prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.  We hope that Pets At Home will come along and judge the competition, otherwise the Basepoint staff, who are all pet parents, will judge the competition, showing no favouritism whatsoever for their own furry friends!!!

As the Centre is dog friendly, dog owners are also encouraged to bring their pets along for the day.

The Weekend Begins here….!

March 13, 2018

Its Friday

The weekend starts early at Canterbury when every Friday we hold a coffee morning for our licensees, where we offer free tea and coffee and a selection of biscuits.

What better way to end a busy week and begin enjoying the forthcoming weekend.

Relax, it’s Friday.

The Networking Hub is a free B2B networking event hosted by Basepoint in our business centres across the country. The events are open to all kinds of businesses and our aim is to give all those that attend the opportunity to meet new people, to build on existing business relationships and to generate new leads.

The format of the events are largely informal with a brief talk from a local guest speaker, complimentary breakfast pastries and plenty of opportunity to network with other attendees. Alongside this, Basepoint provide a business card prize draw and a business 2 business exchange facility in which attendees can promote their business to other attendees.

Our next scheduled event is for Wednesday 28 March when we have Sally Marshall from Reverse the Tide giving a speech about Women in Business to mark the 100 anniversary of Votes for Women.  This will take place in the breakout area from 10am.
